General Donation

DonateSince 1904, the American Lung Association has worked to fight lung disease by helping people quit smoking, funding research, improving indoor and outdoor air quality, and educating millions about asthma. Our work is possible only through public donations. Make a donation now to help all Americans breathe easier. You may submit a one-time-gift or a recurring contribution.

Matching Gifts

Matching gifts are a great way to stretch your donation.  Many companies support their employees who have generously donated to non-profit groups like the American Lung Association of New England by matching the employee’s contribution. These companies and foundations will match, double and even triple your personal donation.

Matching your donation is simple. Check with your company’s human resources department to see if they have a matching gift program. Most companies will provide you with a short form for you to fill out and send to us with your donation. We will verify your donation and send the completed form to your company for processing. It’s that easy!

Please send all matching gift forms to:

American Lung Association of New England
Matching Gifts Department
45 Ash Street
East Hartford, CT 06108

Thousands of companies all over the country have a matching gifts program. Why not take advantage and help raise more money for valuable programs and research right in your community!

Own Your Air

We believe that everyone in New England has a right to HEALTHY AIR, both indoors and outside. While New England's outdoor air is generally regarded as pristine, that unfortunately is not the case. We now know that exposure to air pollution, even at very low levels that were previously considered safe, can aggravate lung and heart diseases and affect lung development.

Our strategy to improve the quality of New England's air involves a coordinated approach of research, education and communication, community building and mobilization, and policy development.

We cannot do this alone! We rely on the businesses and people of New England to be our volunteers, collaborators, and financial supporters. Together, we can continually improve the quality of New England's air, creating a healthy present for ourselves and a healthy future for our children.

Memorial/Tribute/Expressive Gifts

Consider making a tax-deductible contribution to your local American Lung Association office when it's time to express:

  • Sympathy
  • Congratulations
  • Get Well Wishes
  • Thanks
  • Wedding
  • Birthday

A tribute/expressive gift honors a friend or loved one, but helps many more by supporting community health and education programs sponsored by the American Lung Association.

For more information on tribute/expressive gifts, call your local Lung Association office at 1-800-LUNGUSA or click here to donate online.

Planned Giving

Planned Giving is a process, often with the assistance of your estate planning or tax advisor, by which you can make a gift to the American Lung Association using a variety of methods that may help you meet both your personal financial goals and fulfill your charitable goals.  A planned gift can meet a wide range of planning needs such as providing you and/or another person with payments for life through a charitable gift annuity, reducing your taxable estate through a charitable trust, or ensuring the continuation of the programs you care about through a gift in your will.
